I’d like to start by saying that I’ve been a fan of crossword puzzles for many years. In fact, I do the New York Times Crossword several times a week. I’ve even completed quite a few puzzles while cruising at 35,000 feet with the Prize Patrol on our way to surprise new PCH winners. I enjoy crosswords because they’re fun and I love the sense of accomplishment I feel when I finish one. But, did you know that crossword puzzles are more than just an enjoyable way to pass the time? They also keep your brain fit by strengthening your memory and improving your focus. Not to mention, crossword puzzles enhance your vocabulary.
